In this short teaching, we’ll explore the four-part structure of the yogic breath and how it can deepen awareness in both stillness and movement. You’ll be introduced to Puraka (the inhale), Kumbhaka (the natural pause after inhalation), Rechaka (the exhale), and Suniyaka (the natural pause after exhalation). Rather than rushing through the breath, we’ll slow down and bring attention to each phase, noticing how breath naturally creates rhythm, space, and presence in the body. This understanding becomes the foundation for linking breath with movement in a more intentional and embodied way, allowing practice to become less mechanical and more deeply felt.
